Density management, a tool for future forest management

Density management from thinning will be a fundamental tool in the forest management of the future, starting earlier and earlier in its execution for good seasonal qualities depending on the species. In this way, we will not only have more “resilient” reforestations against forest fires, pests or diseases, but also stands that do not stagnate during their development, thus maximizing CO2 fixation. In the following video I show you the execution of a first semi-systematic thinning in 18-25 years old P.sylvestris plantations, which will be monitored soon.
